School Day 

Our gates open at 8.40am

Children should go straight to their classes where early work will start from 8.45am.

Parents/ carers of children in Years R to 4 should accompany them on to the playground. The gates are closed at 8.55am when registers close and locked at 9.00am.

The school day ends at 3.15pm

The gates are unlocked shortly before so that parents/ carers can come onto the playground to collect their children. If parents/ carers inform us in advance, children in Years 5 & 6 can walk home or to an agreed meeting place by themselves.

In a typical week at Thornden Wood, children are in school for 32.5 hours

All children have a 15 minute morning break and lunchtime is from 12.15pm to 1.15pm.
